InFocus Mondopad 101: 3rd-Party Video Conferencing

In this episode of Mondopad 101, you see how to install and use a 3rd-party video conferencing application on an InFocus Mondopad. In this case, GoToMeeting is featured, including adding the Citrix shortcut* to the Mondopad shell. We also review the application's ability to share the Mondopad screen and give keyboard and mouse control to meeting participants.

*If you choose not to log into your GoToMeeting account when initially prompted, the installer will not create the desktop shortcut mentioned in this video. Below are instructions for the manual creation of the shortcut. Be aware, you still must log into your Citrix account in order to use the Citrix Launcher.

  1. Right-click the Windows desktop background and select New-Shortcut.
  2. Copy and paste the following into the “location” field:
    "%appdata%\..\Local\Citrix\GoToMeeting\5636\g2mstart.exe" "/Action Host" "/Trigger Shortcut" "/Product G2M"
NOTE: The exact path will change depending on the version of GoToMeeting.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Rename the shortcut if you wish, and click Finish.
  5. As indicated in the video, you may leave this shortcut on the desktop, or move the shortcut directly to the C:\ drive if you prefer.
